Welcome to the web site of Northeastern University's Education Technology Advisory Committee. ETAC was founded in May 2000, and began meeting on a weekly basis in September 2000. ETAC reports to the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences.

Mission

To research, evaluate and assess best practices in the integration of teaching and technology; and to recommend to the College of Arts & Sciences those methods and models that may be "good-fits" for the the Northeastern University academic community.

Goals and Objectives

  • To be able to access every A&S course on-line via a series of logical links to the Northeastern University home page.
  • To be able to access the syllabus and course description for every A&S course on-line.
  • To administrate the College of A&S Faculty Development Program in Educational Technology in order to assist selected faculty in developing the means to enhance instruction through technology; and to encourage such faculty to apply for the Provost's Teaching with Technology Fund initiative.
  • To evaluate and assess current practices utilized by faculty across the Northeastern University A&S community.
  • To report on current topics and issues in E-learning and Education Technology.
  • To build relationships with internal and external organizations with respect to Education Technology.
